Smart climate control, energy metering and consumption cost allocation for condominium

TEMPERATURE CONTROL AND CONSUMPTION MANAGEMENT FOR CONDOMINIUM

For the condominium, Termogea uses a temperature control system that also includes consumption metering and cost allocation. For temperature control, the system uses a control unit for each apartment, which receives data from the thermostats or room sensors in each zone. For consumption metering, the system uses meters for each apartment. These meters are contained in satellite modules that include domestic water meters and thermal energy meters. The apartment control units and satellite modules communicate temperature and consumption data to the control unit located in the Thermal power plant. This control unit manages up to 20 apartments.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL FOR LARGE BUILDINGS

For large buildings that do not require a consumption metering and cost allocation system, another temperature control system will be used. These types of buildings include schools, public buildings, religious buildings, commercial buildings, industrial buildings, offices, hotels, supermarkets, etc. In these cases, the building is divided into macro-areas, each managed by a Control Unit. The Control Unit will only communicate climate data from the macro-areas to the Control Unit located in the Thermal power plant. This Control Unit can monitor the power plant’s consumption but not the the macro-areas consumptions.

TERMOGEA TECHNOLOGY

In both cases, the Termogea climate control system uses innovative technology. The themal power plant and the building’s macro-areas or apartments are equipped with control units that communicate directly with each other via LAN. The control units are equipped with an integrated gateway with an Ethernet interface. This technology reduces consumption because the generator only turns on when the area requiring heating or cooling is called. Furthermore, the control units in the apartments or macro-areas are Plug & Play. Therefore, they automatically configure the climate control system when the system is turned on for the first time. This technology provides complete remote management of the system through the Termogea Integrated Web Server, a cloud-based system that allows the management of any thermohydraulic machine of any brand.
