The directive (EU) 2018/2002 requires that in the centralized thermal systems of new buildings, a system for measuring heating and cooling energy is installed. Direct consumption measurements systems for each apartment and remote reading systems with consumption allocation independent of the type of meters, are also required.
DIRECT METERING OF CONSUMPTION
In new constructions, or in total renovations, it is possible to use a direct consumption metering system.
In these cases, the metering and distribution of consumption among tenants is the result of direct measurement of the energy actually used by each of them.
The Termogea System consists of the TSH control unit, the meters, and the Cloud.
The control unit and meters can be provided on loan.
THE TERMOGEA SMART HUB CONTROL UNIT
The measurement of consumption in a multi-unit building concerns both the thermal power plant and the apartments. In the Thermal Power Plant we must consider the consumption of the generator, the inertial flywheel for heating/cooling water and the production of ACS. Apartment side are to monitor the consumption of sanitary hot/cold water and thermal energy.
Consumption measurement is entrusted to the Termogea Smart Hub Control unit (TSH) which receives data from all meters. The control unit is equipped with an integrated gateway for internet connection. It is therefore possible for end users and multi-unit building administrators to manage consumption remotely.
The TSH control unit can handle any type of meter.
To quantify the consumption of heating or cooling energy, the Thermal Energy Meter, also known as the Calorie Counter, is used.
For electricity, the Electricity Meter or kWh Meter are used.
For the consumption of hot and cold domestic water, the water meters are used.
On the apartment side, all these meters are grouped in the Satellite Modules.
MANAGEMENT OF CONSUMPTION IN CLOUD
The Termogea cloud-based remote reading and consumption management systems are specifically designed for direct metering.
Remote management takes place through the wall-mounted Touch-screen panel, via Smartphone with the Termogea App for iOS & Android, and via computer.
Access to the Cloud is differentiated for the building administrator and the tenants.
With the Termogea Cloud system, the building administrator can view the consumption of each tenant and carry out the cost allocation.
At the same time, each tenant can view their own consumptions.
Service providers can check consumption data anytime through remote reading and manage meter serial number.
